Step into the rhythm of farm life at Heritage Springs Family Farm in Catharpin, Virginia. During this interactive agrotourism experience, guests join the farmer for real morning chores and get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to care for animals on a working family farm.
This experience is perfect for families, animal lovers, homeschool groups, and anyone curious about life on a farm.
What You’ll Do:
During this one-hour experience, guests may help with a variety of farm chores, including:
-feeding goats and cows
-feeding chickens and other poultry
-collecting fresh eggs from the coop
-try milking a cow and/or a goat
Every day on the farm is different, and activities may vary depending on the season.
Meet the Animals:
Heritage Springs Family Farm is home to a variety of animals including:
-mini nubian dairy goats
-a jersey dairy cow
-miniature cows
-chickens and ducks
-turkeys, peacocks, guinea fowl, and quail
-honeybees
Guests will have the opportunity to meet several of these animals while learning how they are cared for on the farm.
A Real Working Farm:
Morning chores are part of the daily routine that keeps the farm running, and guests get a genuine glimpse into what farm life is like. Our goal is to help visitors reconnect with animals, agriculture, and the rhythms of nature. This event never cancels for weather.
